The back lot of Hog Heaven. The front side is much nicer and on the water. More shots of that tomorrow. But I couldn’t resist the colors in this shot.

I was fortunate enough to be invited out on a boat several days ago. Having just moved here, it was a first for me. How different everything looks from the water. And thanks to my friend–now I need a boat!

I am curious: Has anyone ever “bought” a coconut from one of these honor-system stands, when you can pick the things up off the ground just about everywhere? Maybe I am missing something here….

Nice little spot on the water. More photos to follow. Happily, it is one of about 15 such places I can walk to!

It is cold and windy here today. No really–in the 50s! Believe me, the tourists are not pleased about this forecast, even the ones from Minnesota with whom I spoke yesterday. But it’ll warm up, soon enough. In the meantime, I snapped a last photo in the calm warmth before the front swept through. I love the rich colors in this shot. Now, off to trade my flip flops for Ugs and find a heavy sweatshirt in the back of my closet!
